Frequently Asked Questions

How do I arrange an appointment?

The easiest way to get started is to contact us. We can discuss what you are looking for, answer any questions you have and advise which psychologist or type of appointment may be most appropriate.

Where are you based?

We provide services virtually and face-to-face in London, Bath and Bristol.

Can we have couples therapy online?

Yes, we offer both individual and couple’s therapy online.

What if I'm not sure whether therapy is right for me?

That's completely fine. You don't need to know exactly what you need before contacting us. We can talk through what has been happening and help you decide whether psychological therapy might be useful.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can contact us directly to discuss getting started. If you are using a private medical insurance provider, you may need a pre-authorisation code. You can discuss this with your provider.

How long is a therapy session?

Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes. Your psychologist will discuss with you if it’s felt an alternative session length is more appropriate to fit your needs.

Can I have an initial consultation without comitting?

Yes, we offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to hear about what you'd like support with and answer any questions you might have.

Do you work with private medical insurance?

We work with selected private medical insurance providers. Please contact us to discuss your insurer and circumstances.

Do you offer online appointments?

Yes. We offer psychological therapy both virtually and face-to-face.

Can I choose which Psychologist I see?

Yes. We understand that finding the right psychologist is important. If you have a particular preference, let us know. If you're unsure, we can help match you with someone based on your needs and goals.

Is therapy confidential?

All contact we have with you is confidential, subject to the usual professional and safeguarding limitations. Your psychologist will explain confidentiality and its boundaries at the beginning of your work together.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number of sessions. This depends on your circumstances, what you would like to achieve and the type of therapy that is appropriate for you.

Your psychologist will discuss this with you as therapy progresses.
